What is social entrepreneurship?Social entrepreneurship is the process of recognizing and resourcefully pursuing opportunities to create social value. Social entrepreneurs are innovative, resourceful, and results oriented. They draw upon the best thinking in both the business and nonprofit worlds to develop strategies that maximize their social impact. More on social entrepreneurship can be found here.

What kinds of organizations/individuals do you typically serve? We have the honor of partnering with social enterprises all over the world and in nearly every industry. Our partners are providing America’s first certified regenerative dairy on the California coast, fighting human trafficking throughout South Africa, creating gridless solar electricity in the Philippines, providing prosthetics to developing nations on multiple continents, working to alleviate poverty, create jobs, and improve the quality of life in nations all over the world. If you are a social entrepreneur desiring to make an impact, we want to serve you. We welcome mentees of any faith or of no faith background. To see a list of organizations we have served, click here. To be considered as a mentee, you should: Be beyond the ideation or concept stages of creating your social enterprise Be primarily focused on and employed by your social enterprise (although part-time jobs are fine) Be making a spiritual or social impact or be willing to be mentored to create one See yourself as, or be open to seeing yourself as, a social entrepreneur We also work with founders, CEOs, and senior leaders at the direction of their CEO.

What is expected of me if I decide to be mentored?Being mentored requires the availability to meet once or twice a month virtually with your mentor, showing up for mentoring sessions, being responsive to communications (email, WhatsApp, or text), and a monthly payment (see note on payment options below). We have also created the Ardent RoadMap, which will guide you and help you capture the gold from your mentoring. We highly encourage you to use this tool. Your mentorship journey has the greatest likelihood of success if you have the capacity and desire to meet these expectations.
-
Who would I be mentored by?Ardent has a large network of world-class, highly experienced individuals who mentor our mentees. We vet each of our mentors to ensure they have been highly successful in their expertise, are mature in their faith, and have had experience mentoring. What can I expect from my mentoring sessions?Mentors and mentees typically meet once or twice a month (depending on your subscription) virtually. You can schedule these sessions with your mentor, or we can help with schedule for you. Sessions last approximately one hour and the content and quality of that time is determined by you and your mentor. We encourage you to use the Ardent RoadMap, however, which will guide you and help you capture the gold from your mentoring.
-
What is the average length of mentorship?A mentoring timeline is ultimately based on both the mentor and mentee finding value in the mentoring journey. We have found that the average mentoring journey lasts anywhere from 6-12 months, but many have lasted longer while others have been shorter.
-
How do you match your mentors and mentees?Upon registration, we ask mentees to provide us with the opportunities in front of them, needs they have, and challenges they are currently facing, as well as details about their social enterprise. We use this information to intentionally find the perfect match. We not only have a pool of Mentors ready to go, but we will also search our network if we need to get a mentor outside of our Ardent Database.
-
What are your payment options for mentees? Our pricing plans are designed to meet you in your current growth stage. Click here to see details. You can cancel at any time. Scholarships are available if cash flow is a current issue for you and your enterprise. We do not want finances to get in the way of receiving the mentoring that you need.

-
My schedule can be limited. What is expected of me if I decide to be a mentor? We completely understand the busy schedules that our mentors maintain. Mentors can choose mentor once or twice a month, and have one or two mentees, all based on their preference and capacity. We also ask mentees to take responsibility for scheduling their sessions with you, and we assist with this, so the scheduling process is efficient.
-
Do I need to have mentoring experience?A majority of our mentors have relevant mentoring experience, but we look at a mentor's experience and background as a whole. Of greater importance is a desire and willingness to learn to become a good mentor. We support our mentors with The Ardent Approach which onboards them and helps them enhance their impact.

How do you match your mentors and mentees?Upon registration, we ask mentees to provide us with the opportunities in front of them, needs they have, and challenges they are currently facing, as well as details about their social enterprise. We also ask mentors to share their professional experience, their skills and competencies, and what they believe they can help guide a mentee through. We use this information to intentionally find the perfect match.
-
What if I don't believe I am adding value to my mentee's social entrepreneurship journey? We desire for both the mentor and mentee to find value in their mentorship journey, so if there comes a time when you no longer believe you are making a significant impact, we encourage you to let us know. We aim to have an open dialogue with our mentors and mentees. Sometimes this means the mentorship journey can end and perhaps a new match can be formed. Sometimes this conversation reveals new subject areas that the mentorship journey can focus on.
-
Are there networking opportunities to meet other Ardent mentors? We offer monthly mentoring Champion Sessions that allow small groups of Ardent mentors to meet virtually with our Co-Founder, Lloyd Reeb. After a mentor completes onboarding and the Ardent Approach, they are invited to a Champion Session - an atmosphere of encouragement and growth in the mentoring journey. Some mentors choose to attend these monthly sessions, beyond their first time, to continue their personal growth.
